Password Security

Strong Password Guidelines

Create secure passwords:

  • Length: 12+ characters (longer = better)

  • Complexity: Mix uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols

  • Uniqueness: Different for every account

  • Unpredictability: Not based on personal info

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

What is 2FA?

Extra security layer requiring both password and a code. Prevents unauthorized access even if password is stolen.

Enabling 2FA:

  1. Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication

  2. Click "Enable 2FA"

  3. Choose method (Authenticator app recommended)

  4. Follow setup instructions

  5. Save backup codes
